About

I am a mother, a survivor, a CNA, a photographer, an editor, a writer, and a comic book colorist.

For as long as I can remember, I've been me.

No, really, I'm a terrific pain in the ass with an odd sense of humor. I'm the mother to three sons and whoever else happens to need one. Hopeless bohemian, OCD hippie, and happily odd: I tend to do my own thing whether than try and shave off edges to fit into any specific group or genre.

In my home, we manage autism, depression, PTSD, and Fibromyalgia with humor and dignity. My family is a motley crew of friends with some blood sprinkled here and there. I have three wonderful sons: Lucas, Jason, and Jack, as well as a wonderful soon to be person-in-law Sam.

I love the human condition. I don't like how easily others forget how to be a human. Advocate for dogs, the homeless, mental illness, autism, survivors, feminism, LGTBQ, the arts, reading, nature and lifetime learning. My political standing is considered far left, though I prefer to call it humanity. My religion is closest to Unitarian Universalisim, but I consider that humanity as well.

My third grade English teacher started me on writing. I've been doing it ever since. I have a lovely rejection and encouragement letter from Andre Norton when I tried to submit a story to her collections at ten. Comic book writing started as a type of therapy, which grew into a webcomic, then plans for a paper comic.

My favorite things are tea, wildflowers, drooly pit bulls, lap chihuahuas, science fiction that makes you think, the smell of baby hair, gelato, writing letters, cooking and that brisk little nip of winter coming in the air.
